3 Lessons We Can Learn From Porsha Williams’ Relationships

If you’re not up to date on the latest of Real Housewives of Atlanta, that’s okay. All you need to know is that Porsha Williams is a long-term star and media personality of the hit reality show, and there’s a lot we can take away from her current and past relationships.

Dating can be complicated, to say the least, so here are a few small doses of relationship advice and lessons taken straight from Porsha’s playbook that anyone can apply to their own relationships:

1. Taking accountability is key.

A recent episode of Porsha’s Family Matters paints Porsha in a bad light when she’s seen initiating a physical altercation with her ex, Dennis McKinley, that happened right in front of his mother. Porsha took to social media following the show and admitted her wrongdoings, and that violence is inappropriate in any situation, so what can we learn from this?

Accountability is appropriate in every situation, whether the world has seen you do wrong or not. While fans bashed Porsha online, calling her out for accountability, the lesson is still loud and clear here: if you’ve done something wrong, be honest and own up to it.

2. Mixing love and business can get messy.

While we’ll never know what caused Porsha and her ex-husband Kordell Stewart to truly split, Kordell has publicly spoken about how he believed the antics of RHOA caused a rift between him and Porsha. So, tread lightly when mixing pleasure with work.

3. No relationship is perfect, but working on yourself helps.

In light of Porsha’s new fast-paced relationship with Simon Guobadia, she’s shared that she’s chosen her happiness and only focuses on positivity moving forward. Her finance says that the choice to be together was easy since both parties are in a place to build a healthy relationship together.

Obviously, no two people will get it right 100 percent of the time, and every relationship has its challenges. But if accountability is present, boundaries are put in place, and you’re striving to build a healthy relationship together, then you do have a shot at love that adds to your life, not takes away from it.
