The District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia are currently experiencing a culinary renaissance. No matter your taste, there is surely a restaurant to satiate it. However, with the rise in popularity of restaurants comes the inevitable question of which ones to try. For those who want to support Black-owned businesses while enjoying some amazing food, we’ve got you covered. Here are two new Black-owned restaurants in the DMV that you have to try!

First on our list is Miss Toya’s Creole House. It is located in Downtown Silver Spring. Their menu is described as a tribute to the traditional New Orleans gastronomic culture with an avant-garde touch.
